What
is it?
|
All the reports and cartoons from 1999/00 and 2000/01 seasons plus all the extra reports published during this period up to and including the England vs West Germany 1966 report ... all on one CD which can be viewed on a PC
What's the point in that?
All the reports can be browsed instantly - no waiting for downloads if you want to look back at any old reports
Why should I pay for the reports when I can read them for free on the internet?
|
It all depends on whether you feel they're worth paying for I suppose. At the time of publishing the CD, the site had cost in excess of £1,000 to produce (hardware, software and Internet costs) along with countless hours work. In order to fund these costs I needed to make some money back. The alternative to selling my work was to sell advertising on the site which I don't want to do. Remember, in 10 years time when Huddersfield Town are playing their football in the district leagues and you're being catered for by a robot servant, HTFC-World will probably be long gone. You'll be able to sit your great-grandchildren on your knee and show them the footage from a website you used to visit when you were younger. They'll probably roll around in fits of laughter just as you did when you first saw the site ... not at the jokes or humour but at the primitive graphics and Town defeats. |
Are there any bonuses on the CD which aren't on the Internet site?
Not really. I could've used the 1966 report as a 'bonus' feature but that's not really what the CD is about. If you like the site and enjoy the reports then you know what you're getting.
Would it make an ideal birthday present?
Yes
Or perhaps an Xmas gift?
Yes
How about a wedding present?
Possibly
Or perhaps just to show a loved one that you really care?
Indeed
Go on then, you've convinced me. How much is it?
That's up to you too. £10 is what I'm asking, if you feel it's worth more then I won't turn down larger offers ;-)
£10! But I can buy the latest Boy Band album for £14.99, or Space Attack 8 for my Play Station 2 at three times that price
Exactly
What about postage costs?
There are none, I'll handle the postage and packaging costs as long as it's in the UK
So what do I do now?
|
Send a cheque payable to Daniel Gee to the following address - Danny Gee, 18 Bishops Way, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, WF14 0BJ Don't forget to include the delivery address you want me to post it to. Alternatively you can pop into John Woods Photography (Byram Arcade) in Huddersfield town centre to purchase the CD from there. See foot of this page for location. |
What if I have problems running the disk?
It should be fairly straight forward - the CD is set to autorun on the Windows 95/98 platform but if you do have any problems then just contact me at danny@htfc-world.com
